Carolina BBQ = Happy Hearts!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Sister Jones, Sister Livingston, and I spent the day spreading the gospel then took ourselves to din din at Cookout which is a big fast food chain here. We got BBQ plates and their famous shakes! Nothing better than some southern BBQ on the day of love haha.

Shoutouts:

–To Jesus for loving everyone perfectly!

–To my comps and parents for the cutest Valentines. Love you!

–To everyone I love especially the one in Argentina

Monday: Pday! It was also our day to do the 40 day fast for missionary work! Fasting on Pday wasn't easy but so worth it especially because we were immediately blessed with a miracle. We put Chris on-date to be baptized! We are so excited for him! He's only come to church once and met with us a couple times but he is so ready! I would be so grateful if y'all would say some prayers so that he can stay strong and Satan won't get won't get to him.

Tuesday: My comps were sick all morning so I cleaned the whole apartment and went through our pots and pans since we just got new ones (the apartment used to be the Elders and they had left pans in the back of the cupboard that still had food on them.)

Wednesday: Exchanges! I went to Zebulon with Sister Mangum! It was rainy so we didn't have much success but it was a good time! The Zebulon apartment is brand new and they have a clubhouse with fancy hot cocoa. I hope I go to that area next haha.

Thursday: Zone conference! It was a blast to see everyone and get spiritually filled! We had an amazing message from the Stevens, good food, training, and testimonies of the departing missionaries. Tonight we also had the opportunity to go to the temple for our new members' endowment! It was nice to be back in the Lord's house and feel His peace. One of our fun members Sister McDonald was able to go with us and drive us there. She is the best! And she told us the story about her first marriage that only lasted 4 days. It was wild, I'm glad everything worked out and she has the cute family of her dreams now haha.

Friday: Valentine's Day! Other than that today was just rainy and uneventful.

Saturday: We had lessons with Christina, Kenny, and Yuri. We were able to attend Finn McDonald's baptism which is the first baptism I've been to in a long time so it was cool to get to be there! Tonight we had a delicious member meal with the Cranes!

Sunday: Chris (the one on-date for next Sunday) didn't come to church. :( Our friend Yuri and our new member Robert and his girlfriend came though so that's a Win. We also got to go visit with Murphy who is a member of the branch with MS.  He is in bad shape but an awesome guy. We also had a delicious meal with the Johnsons!

Highlights:

    – Zone Conference!

    – The temple!

    – Valentine’s day!

    – Exchanges!

Lowlights:

–It was rainy all week and we had lots of lessons cancel. So we did lots of knocking in the cold and wet haha.

Spiritual thought:

To stick with the V-day theme I want to share a message about Love! Did you know that to love is actually a commandment? Don't take my word for it though it actually says so in the New Testament.

Mark 12

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

As we show our love for God he can bless us with a greater love for others! I invite y'all to pray to God to know how you can best love the people in your life.

Hope y'all have an amazing week! You’re welcome to shoot me an email anytime if you get the chance!

Peace and Love,

Sister Kendrick
