Ward Letter

Hey Millville 3rd ward! Happy Sabbath! I just want ya'll to know that I am so grateful for the amazing Christlike examples you all are and how growing up in this ward influenced me to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ! Keep it up! I am currently serving in the North Carolina Raleigh mission in a city called Creedmoor! It's a small town in the boonies and I absolutely love it! The congregation here is a branch and we meet every Sunday in an old bank building that was converted into a church! Everyone in Creedmoor is such a character and so am I, so it works out great haha. I really enjoy the opportunity to serve the Lord by serving His children every single day. I get to meet and talk with many amazing people and hear their testimonies of their Savior.

Missionary work can be exhausting but it is also so rewarding to see people come unto Christ. Sometimes our effort reaps great rewards and other times it doesn't, which can be discouraging, but I know that I'm doing my part in building the kingdom of God here on the earth and that knowledge brings me lasting happiness.

Doing missionary work brings so many blessings! I have never before seen God's hand in my life more prevalent than I have as a missionary, dedicating my time to finding and teaching those who have the desire to learn more about the gospel. Being less self centered and more focused on serving God and His children has helped me have more sincere prayers, a stronger testimony, and increased gratitude, charity, and humility. As we follow the Savior's example we become more like Him! And there is hardly a better way to become more Christlike than by participating in His work!

And thankfully missionary work is something we can all participate in, not just proselyting missionaries out on the front lines, but everyone! We can act as a team! Sharing the gospel is actually a principle that we teach to our friends and members!

In preach my gospel it says:

“When we experience the blessings of living the gospel, we naturally want to share those blessings. Family members, friends, and acquaintances often become interested as we set a faithful example and they see how the gospel blesses our lives…If we ask, God will help us recognize opportunities to share the gospel and tell others about how it blesses our lives. …It is a powerful expression of our love!”

I know doing missionary work has blessed my life and it can bless yours too! So I invite y'all to find a way that you can participate in this great work! This could mean reaching out to the missionaries! I love you all and thanks for following along  on my journey. I appreciate all the support.
