Welcome to a new week! You’re welcome for being the highlight of your Monday. I know I am, JK. But I'm glad you're here and I have a lot to say so we'll jump right in! (actually read my spiritual thought btw this one's good) We had a zone conference with Elder Corbett! He really emphasized goal setting. It was an ok meeting (however it was definitely long and sleep inducing.) Sister Steven’s however, gave us an incredible message. She talked about her granddaughter and made us all cry. So that was an incredible thing to witness. The spirit was SO strong, I just love the Steven's so much! We had a really good lesson with our friend named Al! He has a lot of religious knowledge and is just a cool guy. We taught him about the sacrament and he thinks it's so cool that we get to partake of it every week. We met the cutest 92 year old named Lily Mae and prayed with her and taught her about The Book of Mormon. Then her daughter and her daughters' husband (Kimberly ...

"My Friend Shot The Easter Bunny!"

He is Risen! Happy Easter everyone! I hope ya'll had an amazing Holy Week and Easter Sunday! I have loved being able to have this special time to remember and celebrate Jesus Christ and His infinite Atonement. I love how the church is emphasizing Easter as a season rather than just a holiday since no holiday compares in significance to the true meaning of Easter. Because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ we all have the opportunity to be resurrected and live in perfected bodies for eternity. And through our discipleship we are saved and exalted through Jesus Christ’s infinite Atonement and can experience the hope and healing that comes only through Him.  John 6:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. This week was a good one with lots of missionary work being done! We had lessons with Pam, Ronny, Mary, Christina, John, and Anna! Pam is still praying about bapti...

Talkin' And Coughin'

And my new companion is...  Sister Paulsen! She's the best! I'm so excited for what this transfer holds! Sister Paulsen and I are actually in the same stake back home and we graduated from the same high school. We just never really knew each other. A cool story is that I found out she was in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission by meeting her grandma at the temple when I was there to take my mission photos! She recognized the flag and said that her granddaughter, Jane Paulsen, was serving there! Well I've found her and now we're companions so that's pretty cool!  The rest of this week I was sick for the second time in two weeks. I had a fever for two days and a horrible cough that's still hanging on. I've been physically exhausted even though I took a day off and my voice sounds terrible. So this week was a grind but we made it through. And even though I was not feeling my best, we were able to talk to a lot of people and stop by some media referrals that we o...

Sister Firecracker

Welcome back to another Wednesday email! You know what that means: transfers!  The big news is,  drumroll… Sister Jones is leaving and I'm staying and leading out Creedmoor! I'll miss Sister Jones so much she's an incredible trainer, missionary, and friend. I've learned so much from her! I'm excited to be out of training and have new experiences! Now for an explanation of the title… Many of you know me to be shy and sweet which is mainly true but when you get to know me well you realize that I have a little bit of a kick. I've recently been referred to as a firecracker and spitfire to give you some idea. And this week I have a story to show for it!  We were knocking doors in Stem and this one guy answered. We had a good conversation with him. And he was very polite when he declined our message. But we talked to him longer than the average non-interested person. He was pretty stubborn in the idea that the Bible is the only testament of Jesus Christ and that revel...
