The Holy Ghost?? I Don't Want That!

Hey ya'll, happy Monday and welcome back! The last few days have been pretty chill. We had transfers on Thursday and I said goodbye to Sister Marchant and picked up my new comp Sister Edwards! They didn't send us the transfer news that morning like they usually do, instead they sent the emails out to us when we got there (after standing around for a bit) which was crazy! The anticipation was so real! My new comp and I have had 3 of the same companions which is wild! That probably means that we work similarly which is good. I'm excited to see what this transfer brings! Thursday night we had volleyball night with the Oversons & friends! Unsurprisingly, I still suck at volleyball and they take the sport pretty seriously in this group so I still feel out of place there. But hey, I guess it's a good way to get our faces out there for the public (to smash in with a ball!) Friday was a crazy day with lessons! It was also crazy because the Mebane Sisters stayed overnight wi...

GO BULLS!!!

Hey everyone!! How are my American Idiots doing? I hope ya'll had a fantastic 4th of July, I know I did! Some of our awesome members (the Adamsons) fed us a delicious dinner (which we got to help make dessert for, which was so much fun) and took us to a Bulls baseball game with a firework show afterwards! It was so awesome! I did a lot more people-watching than baseball-watching. It was really entertaining haha, especially seeing everyone walking around with their beers. Something you typically don't see in Utah.  And the Bulls won so yay! The firework show in the stadium was amazing too! The finale was the craziest I've seen! My ears were shot after that, but it was worth it! The Adamsons have 5 kids and they are the cutest! The oldest 2 were at FSY so it was just us and their 3 little boys which was lots of fun. We got to listen to the Penderwicks on the drive so that was chill. Overall this week had so many high highs and low lows. It was a rollercoaster for real. So let...

Hey everyone! Do you wanna hear something crazy?? I've been a missionary for 6 months now! I'm 1/3 of the way through my mission!! Some days go by slower than others but overall it's gone by so fast, I can't believe it! I'm so grateful for the time that I've been able to serve despite the many challenges. I've learned so much about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and also about God's love for all of His children. I'm excited to see what else the Lord has in store for me to learn in this next year of missionary work!  I actually had a chance to really reflect on my missionary work this Sunday. We were asked to be on a panel along with other current and recently returned missionaries to answer the youths' questions about missionary work! It was very cool to be able to share my mission experiences and insights with them. We were able to do this for both Hillsborough and Mebane ward as well as having a part in the adult 5th Sunday class so it was...

Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I'm probably having a better day than most of you because outside of a mission Mondays kinda suck. But as a missionary Monday is “da best” day! Last Monday we went to the mall to hang out and do some shopping and today we're planning to chill at the Stake Center. It's nice to have a fun day off to compensate for all the long and hot ones!  This week was a pretty good one! We had amazing dinners + a spiritual thought with our members this week which I'm always grateful for! We also had amazing lessons with our friends:  Diana-  She's married to a member named Neil and they're one of the families we play volleyball with every Thursday! We taught her about the Restoration and it went so well. She even got emotional. She is just the sweetest. Lawrence- He is cool! He is also not currently a believer in God or Jesus Christ but is open to the idea. So far I've never really taught someone who isn't a Christian so this will be a new e...

Hey friends and family! Happy Father's day to all you dads and Chads out there! You are so loved! I'm so grateful for my dad and his amazing Christlike example. He is the most humble person I know and If someone needs service he's already on it. I love you lots Dad!  I hope ya'll have had an amazing week! Mine was good and crazy as ever! Lots of memories were made that's for sure! Let's jump right in:  For Pday on Monday we went to Top Golf and I won! I have no idea how that happened but I'll take it. I'm way better at golfing than at bowling I guess. On Tuesday we had service again at OpenTable (clothing the homeless) which is always a good experience to help out at! Then we went to the temple to do Baptisms with our new member Dwight! We are so happy for him and he said that it was a great experience and he wants to go back soon!  On Wednesday evening we went to stop by a member and it was so funny! She let us read her and her late husband's testim...
