Let It Snow...Somewhere Else

Image
This phrase was actually on someone's doormat when we went knocking and it's fitting for today because it usually doesn't snow here but we had 2 snow days in a row this week! Meaning it only snowed 3 inches but everyone had to stay in because these people don't know how to drive in the snow and don't have snow removal equipment. Snow days on the mish aren't like snow days at home though because we still work all day we just have to find creative ways to do so. For example, focusing on social media work, video messages, and phone/video calls. We also got creative by painting rocks with our info, and doing service by scraping snow off our neighbors cars.  We did have a couple snow day miracles this week! The first miracle came from our zone doing a PMG finding challenge and part of the challenge was calling up dropped media referrals! We ended up calling this guy named Chigbo who put in a request in 2023 and the missionaries were never able to get in contact with ...

Carolina BBQ = Happy Hearts!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Sister Jones, Sister Livingston, and I spent the day spreading the gospel then took ourselves to din din at Cookout which is a big fast food chain here. We got BBQ plates and their famous shakes! Nothing better than some southern BBQ on the day of love haha.  Shoutouts:    –To Jesus for loving everyone perfectly!     –To my comps and parents for the cutest Valentines. Love you!    –To everyone I love especially the one in Argentina Monday: Pday! It was also our day to do the 40 day fast for missionary work! Fasting on Pday wasn't easy but so worth it especially because we were immediately blessed with a miracle. We put Chris on-date to be baptized! We are so excited for him! He's only come to church once and met with us a couple times but he is so ready! I would be so grateful if y'all would say some prayers so that he can stay strong and Satan won't get won't get to him.  Tuesday: My comps were sick all mornin...

Commercial Star?!

Image
Yes everyone, my comps and I were asked to be in a Nissan television commercial as missionaries. So I guess somebody thinks we have potential haha. Hello, acting-career!? It was actually so funny. But I'm sad I lost my only chance to be on TV. I would've said yes in another life haha. Anyways this week was definitely slower than the last two but still pretty good. We had this cool experience on Thursday when we went “finding.”  We met this really cool lady named Jennifer who invited us in and she said that us visiting her was a sign from God. We taught her and her teenage son Leon about the sacrament and they said that they would come to church! And guess what? They actually did!! I was able to read 3 Nephi 11:11 with her and give her a Book of Mormon (that was my first time initiating that and first BOM!) She was so sweet. Knocking doors can be intimidating but it is worth it for moments like that.  On another note this week hasn't been the easiest for me. The fact that I...

Cutie Cucumbers

Image
Welcome back y'all! Creedmoor is still treating me well. This week was awesome! We had some good lessons! It was fun to get to know more members and also to get to know my comps better! I'm loving being a missionary despite the challenges and I'm happy to be in such a good area with amazing people! Also I hit one month which is wild! Ok so now for the cucumber story haha. At the district council we were chatting with the Elders about pranks they've pulled on each other so I guess that inspired them to pull one on us. So when we were leaving the church we noticed that they had stuck whole cucumbers in the outside of Bradley (our car) haha. They even gave him horns! The funny part is that we accidentally left them there when we drove to our lesson so we probably got some weird looks driving around haha. See the google photos for evidence. I tried writing out what happened this week day by day but It would've turned into a novel which I know most of you don't have ...
